after 8 months of classes, approximately 6 started paintings- three of which are close to completion, I finally produced a fully finished one! it's even signed! all I need is a name. any suggestions?
the painting looks much better in person and not so close up. the colours are softer and the yellow is actually this beautiful gold- mix of indian yellow, raw sienna and hint of quinacridone gold. the quinacridone gold was pricey but now my new favourite colour to use. it's looks almost exactly like raw sienna, especially coming out of the tube, but it's more luminous and a transparent so great for glazing.
I'm quite proud of it. my snow drifts have improved since my last painting and I have learnt to gradate!
my daddy's going to get it framed and hang it on the wall.
